A progressive jackpot machine is another variation on a slot machine. The machines which offer a progressive jackpot take a small portion of each bet and add it into a pool for a progressive jackpot. Depending upon how much the slot machine costs per spin, the pool can be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. These pools of money are very difficult to win. Players must be playing the maximum bet in order to qualify for the progressive jackpot in these pools.
